Manhattan Threads September 2005 36 X36 in Hand dyed cotton,commercial cotton; hand inked and machine quilted The distinctive design of the Chrysler Building is the jewel of New York's skyline and sets the tonefor the mixing of wild organic and starkly geometric elements that make up the texture of Manhattan. The Art Deco freize of an apartment building on the lower East Side provides another counterpoint to the straight lines of the skyscrapers.
