January 2004 8.5X11 In the depths of a very cold snowy winter, the blue flowers I photographed last summer provided my pattern. This journal page was a test of the technique of raw-edged construction but my compulsive nature won over and I had to free-motion zigzag the edges. The larger quilt is turned-edge appliqued instead!
